This plan builds three automatic gravity chicken feeders with one 10' length of pipe (the total number of feeders you will need depends on your flock size).

We've personally used this feeder design for 3+ years with our flock, and here's why we LOVE it:

+ Less than half the cost to build than commercially available versions
+ No footprint needed inside run
+ Holds more feed than most commercial options
+ Keeps water out (mold-resistant)
+ Easy to clean
+ Chickens can't scratch feed out on the ground, preventing feed waste & discouraging rodents

ALL the details you need are in this plan including:
- Step-by-step instructions
- Tools needed
- Full material list with Home Depot links & pricing

PLUS, a BONUS page with tips on mounting, filling, and cleaning these feeders.

Each feeder holds about 20lb of feed, which will last 6 birds at least 2 weeks. With 3 feeders, thats ~60lbs of feed, which will last 6 birds ~6 weeks. The amount of feed your chickens consume will vary based on their access to other sources of food. The more your birds free range, the less feed they eat.
